Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about sizing, shipping, care, and orders. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out directly.
How do I know my hat size?
Check each product listing for available sizes and measurement instructions. For made-to-order caps, if you don't see your size in the menu, simply send me a request. For fedoras, bowlers, and other unique hat shapes, sizing details are listed in the description. If you’re unsure, just ask.
How do I measure my head for a hat?
Use a flexible tape measure (or string) to measure around your head:
- Position it across your forehead, about 2cm above your ears, and around the widest part of your head.
- Keep it snug but not tight.
- Measure 2–3 times for accuracy.
If using string, mark the point, lay it flat, and measure it against a ruler. Your size will be in cm (e.g., 57cm) or inches (e.g., 22¼”).
Do you offer gift wrapping?
I don’t currently offer gift wrapping, but I can include a personal note if your order is a gift. Leave your message at checkout, or email it after ordering: ask.makshy@gmail.com.
How do I care for my hat?
Each order includes custom care instructions, and you’ll also find a care label inside your hat or cap. If you’re unsure, just ask — I’m happy to advise.
Will my hat look exactly like the photos?
Each piece is handcrafted and based on the design shown, so it will closely match the photos, with only minimal natural variations that reflect its handmade nature.
When will my order be shipped?
- Made-to-order hats and caps: usually within a few weeks of purchase.
- Ready-to-wear hats, caps, and beanies: within 1–2 working days.
If you’d like expedited shipping, let me know — I’ll check options for you (additional cost may apply).
When will my order arrive?
Delivery estimates for standard shipping:
- UK: 1–3 working days
- Europe: 5–7 working days
- USA: 5–10 working days
Times may vary with postal delays. If delayed, contact me and I’ll help track it. Lost parcels will be replaced.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. I ship to most countries. Customs fees may apply outside the UK, so please check local rules.
What is your refund and exchange policy?
- Ready-to-wear: Refunds or exchanges within 14 days. Contact me first, then return unused items in original condition via tracked delivery.
- Made-to-order: Non-refundable, as each piece is created entirely from scratch and tailored specifically for you — a standard practice in bespoke millinery.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, I’ll arrange a repair or replacement. I’ll always work with you to make it right — your satisfaction and joy in your hat are my priority.
